  • Do you want to bring your creative visions to POrtalBurn? Let's make those brilliant ideas come to life! We have money for art grants and we can’t wait to spend it on you! Please complete the Art Grant Application by April 20th at 11:59 PM.

    Remember you must email a detailed budget along with pictures, drawings, or related images to art@portalburn.org to be considered for an art grant.

  • Want to build the effigy or the temple? Awesome! Grants are available and applications are open now through April 20th at 11:59 PM. Let us know your plans in the Art Grant Application.

  • All fire art must be placed! Either within a Theme Camp or as a standalone project. See the Map page for placement info and be sure to read our Fire Policy carefully.

  • Do you have a mutant vehicle that you just cant wait to bring to the hill? We are totally here for it! Mutant vehicles are eligible for art grants!

    Vehicle traffic on the hill is limited and weather-dependent.

    If you would like to bring an art car, please email DPW@portalburn.org with the subject “Art Car” and your project name. We'll need to understand the nature of your art car and talk about safety.

  • The “Happenings Events Logistics and Principles” or HELP Guide is the “What? Where? When?” of POrtalBurn and contains a timeline of events and where they're happening throughout the Burn.

    This year we will be using the Dust events app! Register your theme camp, events, and art through the link! Participants will be able to download the app prior to the event for convenient offline access to all the happenings, maps, and helpful info. While changes can be made to listings indefinitely, the publish deadline is when we will send the guide to print and a PDF will be made for all posterity.

    Please note: We will have EXTREMELY LIMITED printed copies available this year for burners. If you do not want to look at a screen during the event (hell yea!), print your own hard copy because… Radical Self Reliance. Events will also be listed on a white board each day at the TIT during POrtalBurn.

  • The Burrow is the indoor lodge space with a deck overlooking the pond that you can use to host events! It will have a sound system with a mixer and microphone.

    If you wish to use the sound system you MUST reserve the space. Past BOD member Nataraj has kindly offered to supply a PA system, audio mixer, cables, one microphone on a stand, and a DJ table. All a DJ needs is their controller/decks plug them in and go. Treat his equipment with love and care!

    Please limit your reservations to 2 hour time slots including MOOP sweep time! If you host an event in the Burrow, YOU are responsible for ensuring its care and LEAVING NO TRACE. Thank you!

    The Burrow will be closed from 2 AM to 10 AM, and outdoor loudspeakers will turned off after 10 PM.
