Fire Art & Performance
All fire art and fire circles must apply for placement and be approved by the Fire Art Safety Team (FAST) onsite. See the Placement page for more info and be sure to read our Fire Policy carefully.
If you want to perform with fire, you must apply to join POrtalBurn’s fire guild in order to gain coverage under our insurance policy. We provide this at no cost to performers and to ensure everyone’s safety.

Do you want to bring your creative visions to POrtalBurn? Want to build the effigy or the temple? Let's make those brilliant ideas come to life! We have money for art grants and we can’t wait to spend it on you!
Check out the Art Grant Guidelines to understand how arts grants work; what can be funded, when, and how. Then fill out the art grant application! After completing the form, you will be asked to email a detailed budget along with pictures, drawings, or related images to art@portalburn.org to be considered for an art grant.

Art Cars
Do you have a mutant vehicle that you just cant wait to bring to the hill? We are totally here for it! Mutant vehicles are eligible for art grants!
If you would like to bring an art car, please email DPW@portalburn.org with the subject “Art Car” and your project name. We'll need to understand the nature of your art car and talk about safety. Also, keep in mind that vehicle traffic on the hill is limited and weather-dependent so be prepared!
